Becoming earth
an introduction to eco drag and ecological imagination
Becoming earth —
an Eco Drag workshop
The earth is speaking. Through birdsong, cricket cadence, the groans of the land. This workshop asks a simple question: who wants to speak through you?
Using drag, costume fragments, movement, and collective myth-making, we embody plants, creatures, and fungi, discovering what they have to say, and what we might say back. No performance experience needed. Just a willingness to play.
You will leave with an ecological character, a new myth, and a shifted relationship to the more-than-human world.
Over 2.5 hours we will
𖦹 explore what eco drag is and why it matters
𖦹 be chosen by and embody a life-form
𖦹 create a simple costume from available materials
𖦹 share stories and gifts from our more-than-human being
𖦹 create a short collective myth together
𖦹 reflect and land back in ourselves

Something else in mind?
I design workshops in response to briefs tailored to your organisation, your community, your ecosystem. If you're working with a specific ecological theme, scientific concept, or nature-based idea and want something built around it, get in touch. Previous workshops have explored mycorrhizal networks, rewilding, queer ecology, and sensory connection to landscape.
